RESOLUTION N0. 68-25
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD OVERRULING PROTESTS TO THE PROPOSED
FORMATION OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 AND
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. I
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead did,
by its Resolution of Intention No. 68-20, passed and adopted on
the 13th day of February, 1968, declare its intention to order
certain work and improvements to he done and made in the City of
Rosemead under and pursuant to the "Improvement Act of 1911,"
being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; the names of the streets proposed to he improved, a
desc iption of the streets on which said improvement is to be
done, the location and nature of said proposed work, and the
district to be assessed for said improvement work all being des-
cribed in said Resolution of Intention No. 68-20, which is hereby
expressly referred to for further particulars; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead did,
by said Resolution of Intention No. 68-20, order that the mainten-
ance and operation of certain improvements in the City of Rosemead
be done under and pursuant to the "Improvement Act of 1911 ",.being
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California;
the names of the streets on which said.:maintenance and operation
is to be done, the location and nature of said maintenance and
operation all being described in said Resolution of Intention
No. 68-20, which is hereby expressly referred to for further
particulars; and
WHEREAS, certain property owners liable to.be assessed
for said improvement work and maintenance and operation of
improvements have made written protests or objections in writing
and have filed the same with the City Clerk prior to the time set
for hearing such protests and objections; and
WHEREAS, at the time set for hearing the protests and
objections to said work and improvement and maintenance and
operation of improvements proposed to be made under said Resolution
of intention No. 68-20, the said City Council of the City of
Rosemead proceeded to hear the same, and all protests and objections
having been heard and duly considered,
NOW, THEREFORE, !T IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Rosemead, as follows:
Section 1. That all of the protests and objections of
every kind an -na:ui-e be, and they are hereby, overruled or denied.
Section 2, That this City Council finds that the pro-
tests and o-6~ections so filed with the City Clerk were made by
the owners of less than one-half of the area of the property to
be assessed for the work or for the maintenance and operation of
that property described in said Resolution of Intention.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of March, 1968.
