CC - 1968 - 061 - Honoring Mrs. Emma Shuey0 CITY OF ROSEMEAD RESOLUTION NO. 68-61 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD HONORING MRS. EMMA SHUEY WHEREAS, Mrs. Emma Shuey is retiring as principal of Wells Elementary School in Rosemead on June 30, 1968, after serving as principal at Wells for the first fifteen years of its existence; and WHEREAS, on her retirement Mrs. Emma Shueyy will have completed over 45 years as an educator, the last 21 of which have been spent in the Rosemead School District at both Muscatel Junior High School and Wells School; and WHEREAS, in addition to her work within the Rosemead School District, Mrs. Emma Shuey has taken an active professional interest in her profession through membership and activities in the Rosemead Teachers' Association, California Teachers' Associ- ation, National Education Association and California Elementary School Administrators' Associatijon; and WHEREAS, in her association with the schools of Rosemead, Mrs. Emma Shuey has won the professional and personal admiration of her colleagues, her students and the parents of students, and all of those with whom she has come into contact, for her under- standing, tolerance, and dedication to the education of the students of our schools; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemead, that the City Council, on behalf of the citizens of Rosemead, extends to Mrs. Emma Shuey its congratula- tions on a job well done; its best wishes for a long and fruitful retirement; and conveys to Mrs. Emma Shuey the affection and gratitude of the people of the City of Rosemead, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rosemead that a copy of this resolution,be spread on the records as a permanent memorial.
