RESOLUTION NO. 69-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA, WELCOMING YASUTAKA TOYAMA OF
NAGOYA, JAPAN, AND EXTENDING TO HIM GREETINGS
AND GOOD WISHES FROM THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead
has consistently maintained that the key to peace in the
world is understanding, and
WHEREAS, members of this Council are convinced
that real understanding can only be achieved through friendly
interchange of ideas among people, and
WHEREAS, YASUTAKA TOYAMA is now visiting in the
home of Councilman Stuart Maude, and '
WHEREAS, members of this Council have had the
privilege of meeting YASUTAKA TOYAMA, and find him to be a
worthy representative of the Japanese people,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the'City
Council of the City of Rosemead takes this pleasure in
welcoming YASUTAKA TOYAMA to this City and extends to him all
greetings and good wishes.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of
July, 1969.
