RESOLUTION NO. 69-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION
OF NECESSARY RIGHTS OF WAY FOR ROAD PURPOSES
AND ORDERING EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS.
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity of the people
of the City of Rosemead do require the improvement of Eckhart
Avenue over and across that certain parcel of land hereinafter
described, and for that purpose and for such public use it is
necessary that an easement in, upon, over and across said parcel
be acquired by said City by condemnation, which property is located
in the City of Rosemead, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
and is more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Lot 78 of Lands of the San Gabriel
Improvement Company, as shown on map recorded in
Book 64, Pages 71 and 72 of Miscellaneous Records,
in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles
County, bounded by the following-described lines:
BEGINNING at a point in the easterly line of said
Lot distant southerly thereon 315 feet from the north-
easterly corner of said lot; thence westerly, parallel
with the northerly line of said lot, to a point in
the easterly line of Tract No. 7224, as shown on map
recorded in Book 77, Page 41 of Maps, Records of
said County, distant southerly thereon, 315 feet from
the northeasterly corner of said Tract No. 7224,
thence southerly along said last mentioned easterly
line 15.48 feet; thence easterly parallel with the
northerly line of said Lot 79, to the center line of
the 75-foot Easement for Alhambra Wash, as described
in Case No. 399505, Superior Court, thence south-
easterly, along said center line to a line drawn
parallel with said northerly line and passing',through
a point in the easterly line of said Lot 78 distant
thereon 64 feet from the point of beginning; thence
easterly, along said parallel line, to said easterly
line; thence northerly along the easterly line of
said Lot 78, a distance of 64 feet to the point of
beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the improvement on Eckhart Avenue and the
acquisition of a fee simple interest in, upon, over and across said
real property for said public purpose is a use authorized by law.

Section 2
That the public interest and necessity require
the improvement of said public highway.
Section 3. That the above-described parcel of land is
necessary for such purpose.
Section 4. That such proposed improvement of said public.
highway is located in a manner which will be most compatible with
the greatest public good and the least private injury.
Section 5. That that certain parcel of land above
described be condemned for a public purpose, namely, for the
improvement of Eckhart Avenue for public road and highway purposes,
and the City Attorney of the City of Rosemead is hereby directed to
institute eminent domain proceedings in the Superior Court of the
State of California for the County of Los Angeles, for the condemna-
tion of said parcel of land above described for public road and
highwayipurposes, and to take all steps necessary for the condem-
nation of said parcel of land in the name of said City.
Section 6. That the public interest and necessity require
the taking of immediate possession, and the City Attorney is
directed to institute proceedings for the taking of immediate pos-
session and the use of the property herein ordered to be acquired,
upon complying with the requirements of the law applicable thereto.
