CC - 1971 - 25 - General Membership Meeting• • RESOLUTION NO. 71-25 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD REQUESTING THAT THE CALIFORNIA CONTRACT CITIES ASSOCIATION RECONSIDER AN ACTION TAKEN AT THE MARCH, 1971, GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING OF THAT ORGANIZATION. WHEREAS, it is the established policy of the California Contract Cities Association,to allow its membership adequate time for study before taking action on important matters affecting the membership, and WHEREAS, in furtherance of that policy it has been customary to have copies of proposed actions delivered to member cities well in advance of consideration on the floor, to allow time for careful study, and instruction of delegates, and WHEREAS, policy matters affecting the Association and its membership should be adopted only by a majority of the total mem- bership, and WHEREAS, a resolution concerning financing of all cities in California was introduced at the March, 1971, General Membership Meeting of the Association, and WHEREAS, the matter was voted upon at that same meeting and received ten affirmative votes, eight negative votes, and had an undetermined number of abstentions, and WHEREAS, the number of affirmative votes was far less than a majority of the membership of the Association and is insufficient to bind the majority to any policy or course of action or other matter of importance to the Association as a whole; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Rosemead City Council hereby requests the officers and staff of the California Contract Cities Association to submit the matter for reconsideration at the Annual Seminar to be held in Palm Springs April 22 - 25, 1971, and to take no action in the interim which might place them or the Association on record, as espousing a position which may not be an accurate reflection of the membership's majority view. ANDERSEN CITY-L RESOLUTION NO. 71 -26 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT AND ASSESSMENTS THEREIN (9147 STEELE STREET - SIDEWALKS. ONLY) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. In accordance with Section 5883 of the Streets and Highways Code, the report of the Street Superintendent with respect to the construction of improvements in the 9100 block of Steele Street between Hart Avenue & Rosemead Boulevard, and the proposed assessments set forth therein are hereby confirmed, SECTION 2, In the event that said assessments are not paid within five (5) days from the date hereof, the Street Superintendent is directed to record a notice of lien in the office of the County Recorder and turn over a notice of lien to the Tax Collector for delivery to the County Auditor for entry on the County assessment books opposite the descriptions of the parcels concerned, PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 27th day of April, 1971.
