RESOLUTION NO. 72-26,
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ASSIGNING
FUNDS FROM THE TOPICS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City has entered into a Cooperative
Agreement numbered 2646 and dated February 9, 1971 with the
State of California for installation of illuminated street name
signs at the intersections of Marshall Street, Valley Boulevard,
and Mission Drive with Rosemead Boulevard, State Highway 164; and
WHEREAS, the benefits to State and City are commensurate
with the prorated estimated costs included in the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to fund its share, to the
maximum extent possible, with Federal-Aid TOPICS funds; and
WHEREAS, the City has been advised that it has 1971-72
F.Y.,TOPICS funds available,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead,
California, does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City of Rosemead does assign
to the State of California two thousand two hundred dollars
($2,200) of its 1971-72 F.Y. Federal-Aid TOPICS funds as a portion
of its estimated share of costs for installing illuminated street'
name signs along Rosemead Boulevard, State Highway 164.
Section 2. That upon completion of the State's project,
the City's TOPICS funds assigned to the State be adjusted to equal
71.54% of the City's share of costs, which are eligible for
reimbursement from Federal-Aid TOPICS funds.
Section 3. That the City Clerk file two certified
copies of this Resolution with the State of California and request
that the State accept these funds under conditions stated herein.
