SUMMARY
Attached for your consideration is information regarding the City Clerk's Association of
California Annual Conference.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the attendance, at City expense, of
the City Clerk and the Assistant to the City Clerk.
ANALYSIS
Seminar sessions will include: Case Law Update - Election, Public Records, Brown Act;
New Public Records Act Resource Guide; Elections and Campaigns.

CONFERENCE INFORMATION
• Optional Academy Session offered on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Earn 3 CMC or MMC advanced
points.
• The conference General Session begins 9:00 am on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, and ends at
11:30 am on Friday, April 25, 2008.
• Earn 2.5 CMC / MMC Points or 15 recertification hours for attending the full conference April 23-
25,2008.
• All conference sessions will be held at the Holiday Inn Select.
• Conference registration includes 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 1 dinner.
• Optional Wednesday Evening Event - Crystal Palace: dinner, dancing and tour the Buck Owens
Museum. $50 per person.
