CC - 1994-27 - Pool Boilers at Rosemead Pool~i 0 RESOLUTION NO. 94-27 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE POOL BOILERS AT ROSEMEAD POOL WHEREAS, the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency has previously determined the need for new pool boilers at Rosemead Pool; and WHEREAS, the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency has previously budgeted funds sufficient to cover the proposed expenditures; and WHEREAS, the pool boilers for the Rosemead Pool will serve all Rosemead residents, including those within Project Area No. 1 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead resolves as follows: Section 1. The City Council finds, determines and declares as follows: (a) The payment by the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency of the cost, including installation and other project-related costs, is of benefit to Project Area No. 1. This finding is based upon the fact that Rosemead Pool is a community pool, which serves the residents within and surrounding Project Area No. 1; and (b) The payment by the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency of the cost of the new pool boilers will eliminate blighting conditions within Project Area No. 1 by providing a safe place for community recreation for Project Area residents and by meeting Southern California Air Quality Management District standards for Nox emissions; and (c) That there are no other reasonable means of financing such buildings, facilities, structures or other improvements available to the community. The City's General Fund surplus continues to decline due to the State of California's fiscal condition. The General Fund reserves must be preserved so that essential services will be preserved.
