WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead supports this measure only as a necessary means of stabilizing the State's economic condition and as a compromise measure in a year when the City Council is working vigorously with the State Legislature in protecting State subventions due to the City of Rosemead. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Rosemead supports the extension and continuation of the temporary 1/2 cent sales tax now in place throughout the State of California until such time when economic conditions recover sufficiently to ensure adequate delivery of necessary services and subventions provided by the State.
