RESOLUTION NO. 96-31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ROSEMEAD REQUESTING REPRESENTATION
FOR THE SAN GABRIEL AND POMONA VALLEYS ON THE
ALAMEDA CORRIDOR TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, although the Alameda Corridor Freight Consolidation
Project will greatly improve rail access to the ports,
as well as eliminate numerous grade crossings, the
project will cause substantially increased rail traffic
in the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys; and

some as long as two miles, will be leaving the ports,
traveling north through 30 cities and 70
intersections. To mitigate this serious problem it is
vital that the necessary improvements and funds be
identified to address these negative impacts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
