SUBJECT: CITY CLERK RECRUITMENT PROCESS
SUMMARY
On October 1, 2007, the City Clerk submitted a letter of resignation indicating that her final day with
the City will be on October 12, 2007 (Attachment A).
Based on this development, it will be necessary for the City to begin efforts to recruit for a new City
Clerk. After discussing this item with members of the City Council, It is proposed that staff begin
the recruitment process for a new City Clerk and for the City Manager to appointment a new City
Clerk subject to the approval of the City Council.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action:
■ Authorize staff to begin recruitment efforts for a City Clerk.
■ Authorize the City Manager to appoint a new City Clerk subject to formal approval by the
City Council.

I have enjoyed my position as City Clerk to the fullest and feel that the knowledge
and experience I take with me are priceless. Thank you for the opportunities presented to
me during my tenure. I will greatly miss everyone here and hope to continue my
personal friendship with you and with staff.
I appreciate your understanding of my decision to leave the City of Rosemead.
