Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California. The Pledge to the Flag was led by Agencymember Taylor The Invocation was led by Agencymember Imperial ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Present: Agencymembers Bruesch, Taylor, Vasquez, Vice-Chairman Imperial, and Chairman Clark Absent: None APPROVAL OF MINUTES: JULY 9, 1996 - REGULAR MEETING MOTION BY AGENCYMEMBER TAYLOR, SECOND BY AGENCYMEMBER IMPERIAL that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 9, 1996, be approved as submitted. Vote resulted: Aye: Bruesch, Vasquez, Clark, Imperial, Taylor No: None Absent: None Abstain: None The Chairman declared said motion duly carried and so ordered. 1. RRA RESOLUTION NO. 96-14 - CLAIMS & DEMANDS The following resolution was presented to the Agency for adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 96-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS IN THE SUM OF $376,495.90 AND DEMANDS NO. 4059 THROUGH NO. 4068 MOTION BY AGENCYMEMBER IMPERIAL, SECOND BY AGENCYMEMBER BRUESCH that Resolution No. 96-14 be adopted. Vote resulted: Aye: Bruesch, Vasquez, Clark, Imperial, Taylor No: None Absent: None Abstain: None The Chairman declared said motion duly carried and so ordered. 2. ENGINEERING PROPOSAL - PROVIDE TOPOGRAPHIC AND BOUNDARY SURVEY FOR AGENCY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF GARVEY AVENUE AND WEST OF THE RIO HONDO CHANNEL Agencymember Taylor stated that spending $9,950 for the boundary survey seems expensive. Fred Wickman, City Engineer, responded that this amount also includes establishing the beginning point to start the survey, provide elevations on a 50' grid, and locate utilities on the street for future development plans. RRA 7-09-96 Page #1 Agencymember Bruesch asked about the strip of land that the Corps of Engineers owns and City boundaries. Don Wagner, Assistant City Manager, stressed the necessity of providing this boundary survey as it will delineate the Federal Government property from Rosemead's property. Mr. Wagner continued that the Federal property can only be used for parking and "green belt" areas, with construction of the senior housing and recreation center on the 1 .1 acres that the City owns. MOTION BY VICE-CHAIRMAN IMPERIAL, SECOND BY AGENCYMEMBER VASQUEZ that the Agency approved the engineering proposal; appropriate $13,000 from unappropriated Agency Fund Reserves for project survey and title reports costs; and direct staff to perform topographic and boundary survey.
