SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND CALIFORNIA NARCOTIC OFFICERS'
ASSOCIATION 42ND ANNUAL TRAINING INSTITUTE
SUMMARY
Attached for your review is information regarding the California Narcotic Officers'
Association 42nd Annual Training Institute, held November 18-21, 2006 in Indian Wells,
California.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the attendance of Deputies Donahoo
and Bryant of the S.T.A.R. Unit.
ANALYSIS
Conference sessions include workshops on Search & Seizure, Asset Forfeiture, Drug
Endangered Children, MS 13 Gangs, Narco Trafficking, Risk Management, and
Undercover Operations & Tactical Response among others.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Funds for attending this event are included in the 2006-07 Budget.
