RESOLUTION NO. 91-14

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD APPROVING TENTATIVE TRACT MAP 49136 FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIX SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLINGS IN
THE P-D ZONE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 8855 MISSION
DRIVE, ROSEMEAD.
FOLLOWS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
Section 1. The City Council finds, determines and declares as
follows:
A. An application authorizing the proposed project in the P-D zone
at 8855 Mission Drive was filed by Janstar Development, Inc.; and
B. The Planning Commission conducted a duly noticed public hearing
on said application on November 19, 1990; and,
C. The Planning Commission denied the application, by a majority
vote, by the adoption of its Resolution No. 90-62; and
D. Janstar Development, Inc. filed a timely appeal to the decision
of the Planning Commission; and
E. The City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing on said
application on February 12, 1991.
Section 2. Concerning the merits of the application, the City
Council finds:
1. The proposed map is consistent with the applicable General Plan of the
City of Rosemead.
2. The design of the proposed consolidation and improvements are
consistent with the applicable General Plan. There is no specific
plan.
3. The site is physically suitable for the type of development.
4. The site is suited for the proposed density of development.
5. The design of the subdivision will not conflict with public easements.
6. The design and proposed improvements of the subdivision will have no
significant adverse effects on the environment, and, therefore, a
Negative Declaration was prepared and adopted in compliance with
Rosemead Resolution 79-77, CEQA, and the guidelines for the
implementation of CEQA.
7. Discharge of wastes from the proposed consolidation will not result in
the violation of existing requirements as prescribed by the California
Regional Water Board.
Section 3. The City Council finds that based upon the findings
identified herein, the City Council approves Tentative Tract Map 49136.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and shall transmit a copy thereof to the applicant and appellant.
