CC - 1988-03 - Installation of Ramona Blvd Sewer ProjectRESOLUTION NO. 88-3 A RESOLUTION OF THE ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS WITH RESPECT TO PARTICIPATION IN THE INSTALLATION OF THE RAMONA BOULEVARD SEWER PROJECT WHEREAS, the portion of Ramona Boulevard depicted on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, lies north of Project Area No. 1; and WHEREAS, the installation of the Ramona Boulevard Sewer will complete the upgrading of the Rosemead Sewer System and encourage private development within Project Area No. 1. NOW, THEREFORE, the Rosemead City Council resolves as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: (a) The payment by the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency of the sum of Ninety-five Thousand Dollars ($95,000) toward the total cost of the installation of Ramona Boulevard Sewer as depicted on Exhibit "A" hereto, is of benefit to Project Area No. 1. This finding is based upon the fact that Ramona Boulevard is the remaining section needs to be installed in order to complete the system. This particular portion of the sewer system lies north of the boundary of Project Area No. 1, and feeds into the main Walnut Grove Avenue collector. The completion of an operational sewer system will encourage private development in Project Area No. 1. (b) That there are no other reasonable means of financing such buildings, facilities, structures or other improvements available to the community. Although the City has a General Fund surplus, the uncertainty or the economy and continuing municipal revenue sources militates against the depletion of the existing reserves. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 12th day of January. • 1988. MAYOR I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution 88-3 ATTEST: was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Rosemead at a regular meeting thereof held on the 12th day of January, 1988, by the following vote: CITY CLERK Yes: Imperial, McDonald, Bruesch, Cleveland No: Taylor Cl Y_ CLERK ' ~ ~ ~ ..nil ~ ~~Jr 1 -:k•' A,,,--_ EXHIBIT "A" Temple City y~'" r~:1~~0[]~ ~el ~ ~'^II' P ~It r~J J.Ir-t=~. ..Q II I~ 1.J1 \<~~4 ~C~T r~ lv~ )l, E.
