CC - 1986-31 - Pedestrian Funds Under SB 821RESOLUTION NO. 86-31 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR THE PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER SB 821 WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that portation Fund be annually set aside bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and 2% of each county's total local Trans- and used to fund th development of WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead has planned concrete pedestrian walk- ways to be constructed in conformance with specifications of Caltrans'; and WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead desires to construct concrete pedestrian walkways within their City utilizing the funds available under SB 821. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead does resolve as follows: 1. To approve the proposed concrete pedestrian walkways to be con- structed in conformance with the specifications of Caltrans'. 2. To authorize the City Manager as the City's authorized signature and designated contact person; 3. To apply for all funds available to the City of Rosemead allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian facilities (SB 821). One-quarter-to- one-third of the sidewalk exists. :It is proposed to complete the sidewalk construction. Halkett Street will be completed first and the remaining funds will be used for Guess Street.
