A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA
CONFIRMING THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT'S
REPORT AND ASSESSMENTS THEREIN
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Streets and
Highways Code, 1911 Improvement Act, Chanter 27, Section 5895, and
WHEREAS, the City Council at its regular meeting of July 8,
1980, adopted the following policy statement for payment of
assessments in annual installments, to wit;
"All assessments shall be due and payable within the
fiscal year in which the assessment is levied. Install-
ment payment, not to exceed five annual installments, may
be arranged for those,-owners;,of property who request
installment payment of an individual assessment and who
demonstrate that substantial financial hardship,will re-
sult from the i.mposi,t,ion,of a one year assessment. 'For
purposes of"this. policy,' substantial economic hardship
shall be defined as a-•material reduction In the standard
of living for the owner of the property and his family,
if any.. ;
WHEREAS, the assessments are hereby confirmed for properties
listed in Exhibit "A", and
WHEREAS, the assessments are hereby confirmed for properties
listed in Exhibit "B" establishing an installment payment plan
SECTION .1. In accordance with Section 5883 of the Streets
and Highways Code, the report of the Street Superintendent with
respect to the Construction of Improvements and the proposed
assessments set forth therein are hereby confirmed.
SECTION 2.. In the event that said assessments are not paid
within rive 5) days from the date hereof, the Street'Superintendent
is directed to record a notice of lien in the office of the
County Recorder and turn over a notice of lien to the Tax Collector
for delivery to the County Auditor for entry on the County Assessment
books opposite descriptions of the parcels concerned.
