CC - 1985-43 - Denying Conditional Use Permit No 86-323 at 4203 Rosemead Blvd• RESOLUTION NO. 85-43 • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DENYING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 85-323 (4203 ROSEMEAD BLVD.) APPLICANT: ROSEMEAD KOREAN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council finds, determines and declares as follows: a. An application for a conditional use permit authorizing the expansion of an existing church at 4203 N. Rosemead Boulevard was duly filed by the Southern California Association of Seventh-Day Adventists; and b. The Planning Commission commenced a duly noticed public hearing on May 6, 1985; and c. The Commission's hearing was continued and concluded on August 5, 1985; and d. The Planning Commission adopted its Resolution-No. 85-26 denying the Conditional Use Permit and making findings; and e. The applicant, in timely fashion, filed its appeal of. the commission's decision to the City Council; and f. That on September 10, 1985 the City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application. .:SECTION.'2. The City Council finds, pursuant to Section 9180 of the Rosemead Zoning Code, that the proposed expansion would be detrimental to surrounding properties in that sufficient on- site parking is not provided. The City Council further finds that the proposed location of off-site leased parking is too remote to be considered in fullfillment of the parking require- ments of the expanded church. SECTION 3. Based upon the findings listed above, the City Council hereby denies, without.prejudice,.the application for Conditional Use Permit No. 85-323. In the event the applicant re-applies for the Conditional' Use Per_m3t, alleging- new circum- stances, the application fee shall be waived. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall transmit a copy thereof to the appli- cant. PASSED, APPROVED and'ADOPTED this 24th day of September, 1985.
