RESOLUTION NO. 84-1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF•ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING
THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT AND
ASSESSMENTS THEREIN
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Streets and
Highways Code, 1911 Improvement Act, Chapter 27; Section 5895 and,
WHEREAS, the City Council at its regular meeting'of July 8, 1980,
adopted the following policy statement for payment of assessments in
annual. installments,,to wit;
"All assessments shall..be "due and payable within the
fiscal year'in which the assessment .is levied. In-
stallment payment, not t'6 exceed five annual install-
ments, may be arranged for those owners of.property
who request installment payment of an individual
assessment and who demonstrates that substantial
financial hardship.will result from the imposition
of a one year assessment. For purposes of this policy,
substantial economic hardship shall be defined as a
material reduction i.n the standard of. living for the
owner of the property and his family,.if any."
WHEREAS, the assessments are.hereby confirmed for. properties
listed in Exhibit "A','..
SECTION 1. In accordance with Section 5883 of the Streets
and Highways Code, the report of the Street Superintendent with
respect to the Construction of Improvements and the proposed assess-
ments set forth therein are hereby confirmed.
SECTION 2. In the event that
within five (5) days from the date
is directed to record a Notice of
Recorder and turn'over'a notice of
delivery to"the County Auditor for
books opposite'descriptions of the
said assessments are not paid
hereof, the. Street Superintendent
Lien in the office of the County
lien to the Tax Collector for
entry on the County Assessment
parcels concerned.
