A RESOLUTION AND';.ORDER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY'OF ROSEMEAD VACATING A PUBLIC STREET
PURSUANT TO THE STREET VACATION ACT OF 1941
,(VIRGINIA STREET 50 FEET EAST OF INTERSECTION
OF VIRGINIA AND'DENTON)
THE CITY COUNCIL bF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD DOES RESOLVE,
ORDER AND DETERMINE THAT:
WHEREAS,.-100%o of, the frontage property owners on that
certain street described on Attachment,A hereof, have requested
that the said street be vacated by the City and the easement
for street purposes 'be terminated; and..,
WHEREAS on February 5,'"1979, the`Planning Commission
of the City of Rosemead found that the subject stkeet,rvacation
would be in conformit-y'ivithythe-General Pian :for.the City of
Rosemead; and
WHEREAS,,on February 27, 1979 the City Council of the
City of Rosemead adopted a resolution declaring its intention
to vacate said street and fixed a date for a-public hearing on
the,proposed vacation of said street; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk posted notice of said public
hearing and published notice thereof as required by Streets and
Highways Code, Section 8322, and the Rosemead Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, on March'27, 1979 at 8:00 p, m., a Public
Hearing was held in the Chambers of the City Council of the
City of Rosemead at 8838 E.' Valley Blvd., City of Rosemead,
California, and the City Council heard all evidence presented
by interested persons; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said street and
every part thereof is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes, except the easements for utility pur-
poses beneath the surface of said street.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
FINDS AND DECLARES THAT:
SECTION 1. The street described on Attachment A hereto
is unnecessary for present or future street purposes;
SECTION 2. The certain utility easements. hereof exist
for the service of properties in-and around said street and the
reservation of such easements and their preservation is in the
public interest.

ORDERS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD THEREFORE
SECTION 3. That the street described on Attachment
A hereof is hereby vacated and the public easement for street
purpose is hereby vacated and terminated.
SECTION 4. That-all easements of record upon said sheet
are hereby reserved and remain in full force and effect,
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall cause a certified
copy of this Resolution and Order attested by the Clerk under
the seal of the City of Rosemead to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.

point approximately 50 feet east of the intersection of the
of the centerlines of Virginia Street and Denton Avenue and
proceeding 256 feet easterly from said point.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR THE PROPOSED VACATION
OF VIRGINIA STREET WITHIN TRACT NO. 4747.
Parcel A: All that portion of VIRGINIA STREET, as shown on map
of Tract No. 4747, recorded in Book 50, Page 52 of Maps, in the
office of the Registrar-Recorder of the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, bounded westerly by a line parallel with
and 50 feet easterly, measured at right angles, from the center-
line of DENTON AVENUE (44 feet wide) shown as CONROY AVENUE (40
feet wide) on said last mentioned map, and the northerly
prolongation thereof.
Parcel B: Those portions of Lots 30 and 31, said above mentioned
Tract and that portion of VACATED ALLEY adjacent to said-lot's
also known as VIRGINIA AVENUE, bounded as follows: Beginning at
the northwest corner of said Lot 30, said corner being the
beginning of tangent curve concave to the south and having a
radius of 99 feet, a radial line of said curve through said point
of beginning bears NOo 34" W; thence easterly along said curve
30.28 feet through a central angle of 18005'37"; thence
S 72028'23" E 50.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave to the northwest and having a radius of 29 feet; thence
northeasterly along said last mentioned curve 46.32 feet; thence
westerly in a direct line to the point of beginning.
