Disaster Response. SAO Deputies adjusted their hours to work overnight for a
disaster response in the city or Rosemead.
Fire Response. SAO Deputies were placed on a fixed 12-hour everyday schedule in
response to the Eaton Fires.

Notable Incidents:
Robbery (Estes) - 211 PC
1900 Town Center Boulevard- Macy's Assest Prevention observed an individual conceal items and walk
out of the retail store without paying for the items. While attempting to detain the individual, Macy's
Assest Prevention Officer was punched in the face. Deputies arrived on scene, detained and arrested the
individual.
Illegal Gambling —330 (a) PC
3400 Block of Burton- During a burglary call for service, deputies observed the suspects scaling over
fences into a near by house. Deputies detained the location. Upon further investigation, deputies
discovered an illegal gambling house and arrested several individuals. There was no evidence of a
burglary.

Shooting at an unoccupied vehicle —247 (b) PC
7400 Block of Columbia Street- Deputies responded to a call for service regarding a shooting. Upon
arrival, deputies discovered 12 bullet holes to the informant's vehicle. Video surveillance captured the
incident and depicted four individuals involved in the shooting. This investigation is still ongoing.

sex offender.
Business Meeting. SAO Deputies met with different business managers throughout the
city and discussed current crime trends.

SAO deputies assisted Human Trafficking with conducting a traffic stop on a sex offender
who worked in the city Rosemead. The sex offender was detained and arrested.

Domestic Violence —273.5 (a) PC
8800 Block of Glendon Way - Deputies responded to a domestic violence call for service.
The suspect strangled the victim and lost conscious. After the victim recovered, the
victim walked away and called Temple Sheriff station. The suspect was detained and
arrested.
Assault with a deadly weapon - 245 (a)(2) PC
8100 Block of Artson Street— Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon
call for service. During an argument the suspect discharged his firearm at the victim. The
suspect was detained and arrested.
Robbery (Bank) - 211 PC
1827 Walnut Grove Avenue — Deputies responded to a Robbery call for service. The
suspect entered a Wells Fargo Bank and left a note on the front desk and pointed a
firearm at the bank teller. The note demanded $10,000.00. After the suspect collected the
money, the suspect left without further incident. Major Crimes Bureau was notified of the
incident. This investigation is still on going.
Criminal Threats 422 PC. - SAO Deputies responded to Edison regarding a direct bomb
threat. A suspect messaged Edison via Facebook and stated he was going to bomb the
nearest Edison building. SAO Deputies conducted a thorough search of the Edison
building for anything suspicious. After clearing the building, SAO Deputies conducted a
further investigation and determined the possible suspect to live in the city of Palmdale.
SAO Deputies contacted Palmdale Station and advised them of the possible threat.

Special Operations:
Human Trafficking Operation. SAO Deputies assisted Human Trafficking in arrestingtwo
individuals who are responsible for operating illegal brothels in the city of Rosemead.
Human Trafficking Operation. SAO Deputies assisted Human Trafficking with arresting a
sex offender at the Motel 6.
Homicide Operation. SAO Deputies assisted Homicide with a multilocation search
warrant and arrested two individuals for 187 PC.
Narcotics Operation. SAO Deputies assisted Narcotics Bureau with a search warrant for
an individual who has been selling narcotics.
Homeless Outreach Operation. SAO Deputies along with Code Enforcement and LA
CADA contacted several homeless residents at 7433 Garvey Avenue and provided
services for housing. SAO Deputies contacted property manager at 7433 Garvey Avenue
and discussed on the homeless trespassing on private property. All trash left by the
homeless was removed.

Notable Incidents:
Burglary (Residence) 459 PC — 3600 Block of Marybeth Avenue. Deputies responded to
burglary report call for service. Victims stated upon returningto their home, they
discovered the front door open, home lights on and the rear door shattered. Suspect (s)
unknown entered the above location through the rear door and took several items totaling
to $1600.00.
Driving a vehicle without owners' consent (Bank) - 10851 VC
Walnut Grove Avenue / Hellman Avenue — Utilizing departmental resources, deputies
observed a stolen vehicle. Deputies conducted a felony traffic stop and detained two
individuals inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation, both individuals were arrested
for multiple felony charges.
