A RESOLUTION OF THE ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL
PROCLAIMING THE MONTH OF MAY, 1973 AS
SENIOR CITIZENS' MONTH
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead's population
includes persons 65 years of age and over; and
WHEREAS, this population now numbers more than
3,800; and
WHEREAS, this represents a substantial percentage
of the City's total population; and
WHEREAS, the.Senior Citizens have made, and are
still making, invaluable contributions to the community's
well-being in Los Angeles County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Rosemead does proclaim the month of May, 1973 as SENIOR
CITIZENS' MONTH, and call to the attention of all its residents
the event being planned to honor these Senior Citizens; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution
be forwarded to the County of Los Angeles Department of Senior
Citizens' Affairs.
