CC - 1973-46 - Part of El Monte Judicial District• A RESOLUTION OF REQUESTING THE TO DIRECT THAT PART OF THE EL COURT HOUSE FOR RESOLUTION NO. 73-46 n u THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD WILL CONTINUE TO BE MONTE JUDICIAL DISTRICT AND TO IMPROVE THE THE EL MONTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Municipal Court for the County of Los Angeles E1 Monte Judicial District (hereinafter, E1 Monte Municipal Court) is an important institution for the administration of justice to the citizens and City of Rosemead; and WHEREAS, the E1 Monte Municipal Court is nearer the City of Rosemead and more convenient for Rosemead citizens than are the municipal courts of other judicial districts; and WHEREAS, the caseload at the E1 Monte Municipal Court is well managed so that civil cases can normally be tried within 60 days of filing, and criminal cases can normally be tried within 30 days of filing, and any case can be heard on an emergency basis in a much shorter period of time; and WHEREAS, the Court House for the E1 Monte Municipal Court is old and overcrowded and needs structural improvements and expansion; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The County of Los Angeles should direct that the entire City of Rosemead will continue to be served by the E1 Monte Judicial District. The County of Los Angeles should improve and expand the present Court House of the E1 Monte Municipal Court so that court can better serve the entire E1 Monte Judicial District.
