A RESOLUTION 01' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEI,IEAD,
CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING CERTAIN TIME. LIMITATIONS WITHIN
UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT #1
WHEREAS, the City Council called for a public hearing on
January 25, 1972, at the hour of 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers
in the City Hall, 8838 Last Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California,
to ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety, or
welfare required the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated
overhead structures, and the underground installation of wires and
facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar or
associated service, within that certain area of the City described
as follows: Sixty-five (65) feet north and south of the centerline
on Mission Drive between the westerly City limit and the west pro-
perty line of. Rosemead Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, such hearing was duly and regularly held, and all
persons interested were given an opportunity to b2 heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemead adopted
Resolution No 72-5, on January 25, 1972, fixing eight (8) months
from date of adoption of said Resolution as the date by which
affected property owners must be ready to receive underground ser-
vice, and fixing ten (10) months from date of adoption of said
Resolution as the date by which overhead electric, communication,
or similar service within the Underground Utility District No. I
must be removed; and
WHEREAS, the general public interest would be served by
extending the time limitations fixed by said Resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of Rosemead that July 1, 1973, is hereby established as the
date by which said property owners must be ready to receive under-
ground services and September 1, 1973, is hereby established as the
date by which all poles, overhead wires and associated overhead
structures must be removed and the underground installation of wires
and facilities for supplying electric communication or similar ser
vice within Underground Utility District No. 1 be completed.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, the City Clerk is hereby instructed to
notify all affected utilities and all persons owning property within
Underground Utility District.No. 1 of the adoption of this Resolution
within ten (10) days after date of adoption hereof.
