Fuentes, Crowe, Paules and Jeffers: The cities of San Gabriel, Alhambra, Monterey Park and Rosemead are members of a joint powers authority which established and directed through its Governing Board, the West San Gabriel Valley Juvenile Diversion Program. As you may recall, the Board of the West San Gabriel Valley Juvenile Diversion Project voted to dissolve the Project in December 2003. Our office was also directed to undertake the process of dissolving the Project with the various state agencies. We have finally received our last approval from the Attorney General's Office, and we are now authorized to dissolve the Project. The final step in the process is to have each City Council adopt a resolution dissolving the Joint Powers Authority that created the West San Gabriel Valley Juvenile Diversion Project. As such, please find the appropriate resolution enclosed for you to agendize at your next council meeting. Once the resolution has been adopted please send a certified copy to my attention so we may close this file.
