RESOLUTION NO. 74-77
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PASADENA, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemead, California, desires to participate
in a certain project designated Northeast Regional Burglary Investigation
Team to be funded in part from funds made available through the Omnibus
Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL90-355, as amended,
PL91-644, (hereafter referred to as the Safe Streets Act) administered
by the California Office of Criminal Justice Planning, and
WHEREAS, the California Office of Criminal Justice Planning has
been organized to administer the funds appropriated by Congress and
allocated for use in California under the provisions of the law; and
WHEREAS, the Southern California Association of Governments has
been designated as the Regional Advisory Board for Region 'R including
the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area; and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board
has been organized and has published a Regional Criminal Justice Master
Plan for Region R, and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasadena, on behalf of the
Burbank, Duarte, Glendale, San Marino, Sierra Madre,
Bradbury, Rosemead, South E1 Monte, Temple City, Los
Los Angeles County submitted an application for a gr
fund a Regional Burglary Investigation Team entitled

WHEREAS, the sum of $1,152.00 has been assessed the City of Rosemead
for the hard-cash matching funds requirement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rosemead, California,
DOES RESOLVE as follows:
1. That the City Council agrees to participate in the proposed
Northeast Regional Burglary Investigation Team to accept its
share of the grant, and to provide the City's share of
hard-cash matching funds which has been determined to be a
sum equal to $1,152.00.
2. That the City Manager is herewith designated as the City's
representative in the conduct of the City's representation in
the:Nor.theast~Regional Burglary Investigation Team and is
authorized to furnish information, execute documents, make
expenditures and perform associated administrative functions
within the scope of authority granted by this resolution. The
City Manager may designate other employees as necessary to
assist him in these duties.
3. That the grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant on-going law enforcement expenditures.
4. That in the conduct of this Project, the City will comply with
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
