A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY,
THE 22nd DAY OF APRIL 1975, FOR THE ELECTION
OF A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY
AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO GENERAL
LAW CITIES.
WHEREAS, a vacancy in the office of member of the
City Council was treated by the Recall of Kenneth Pike on
January 21, 1975, and;
WHEREAS, the term of office in which the vacancy
was created by said Recall of Kenneth Pike ends March, 1976;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the
laws of the State of California relating to General Law Cities
wli,tbihni said State, there shall be, and there is hereby called
and ordered, held in the City of Rosemead, County of Log'Angeles,
State of California, on Tuesday, the 22nd day of April, 1975,
a special municipal election of the qualified electors of said
City for the purpose of the election of a member of the City
Council of said City for the term of office in which the
vacancy was created by the Recallof Kenneth Pike which ends
March, 1976.
SECTION 2. That the ballots to be used at said
election shall be, both as to form and matter contained therein,
such as may be required by law to be used thereat.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is
hereby authorized, instructed and directed to procure and
furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter
and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be
necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct said
election.
SECTION 4. That the polls for said election shall
be open at seven o'clock A. M. of the day of said election and
shall remain open continuously from said time until seven o'clock
P. M. of the same day when said polls shall be closed, except
as provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State
of California.
SECTION 5. That in all particulars not recited in
this Resolution, said election shall be held and conducted
as provided by law for holding municipal elections in said City.

SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of
holding said election is hereby given and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized, instructed and directed to give such further
or additional notice of said election in time, form and manner
as required by law.
SECTION 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same.
in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall
make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the
records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City,
in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and
adopted.
SECTION 8. That this Resolution shall take effect
immediately.

circulation pub]ished and circulated in.the City of Rosemead,
that said posting was completed on the 4th day ofFetiruary
19 75 , and that a total number of copies by law of. said
Resolution 75-5 were so posted.
