RE: PROPOSAL FOR RELOCATION SERVICES OF BLUETONE MUFFLER
Attached for your consideration is a proposal from Pacific Relocation
Consultants to provide relocation services to the Redevelopment
Agency for the relocation of the business currently located at 9118
Garvey Avenue. The law firm of Wallin, Kress, Reisman, Price and
Dilkes have successfully used this firm in previous relocations with
other client cities. The current lease with Bluetone Muffler expires
on December 31, 1990.
Because the attached letter includes estimated relocation costs, it
has been stamped "confidential." Pacific Relocation consultants are
proposing to do the work for a fixed fee of $2500.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency authorize
Pacific Relocation Consultants to provide relocation assistance
services not to exceed the cost of $2500.

Please note that I did not go on the premises and speak with
anyone on site and I did not want to upset the owner. The
cost estimate for relocation benefits is based solely on

9. MATTERS FROM OFFICIALS - None
10. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE ON REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
MATTERS
A. Holly Knapp, 8367 E. Whitmore St., Rosemead, requested that
the Agency put a fence along the rear of her property at the Zapopan
Park boundary. Ms. Knapp stated that when the Park was originally
fenced, all private property bounding the Park was fenced at the
Agency's expense.
Chairman McDonald directed staff to investigate the past policy
regarding fences at this location.
Ms. Knapp added that the fence is falling apart because persons
are climbing it and using it as a short cut to and from the park.
