CC -results of Los Angeles County Survey Regarding Council Minutes - Internal File 033 TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS ROSEMEAD CITY COUNCIL FROM: NANCY VALDERRAMA, CITY CLERK DATE: NOVEMBER 16, 1999 RE: RESULTS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY SURVEY REGARDING COUNCIL MINUTES At the Council meeting of October 12, 1999, staff was directed to conduct a survey of Los Angeles County cities to determine their method of transcribing Council minutes. The Minutes portion of the indicated survey was broken down into the following categories: Action, Verbatim, or Other, which includes a more inclusive type of transcription, such as our City's minutes. Cities were also asked whether their minutes were ever subpoenaed and used as evidence in court; and, what length of time the audio tapes are kept.
