RE: ADJOURNED MEETING OF SOUTH EL MONTE CITY COUNCIL TO
DISCUSS FUTURE OF CENTRAL SAN GABRIEL VALLEY CITIES
As you know our joint application for designation as an Enterprise Community was denied by
the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City of South El Monte has scheduled
an adjourned meeting of their Council to discuss the future of the Central San Gabriel Valley
Cities. Attached is a copy of a draft agenda. If the Council is interested, and three members
plan on attending, it is recommended that the Mayor adjourn tonight's Meeting to Monday,
January 30, 1995 at 5:30 pm at the Ramada Suites in South El Monte.

Councilmember Vasquez expressed his disappointment that the Enterprise Community
did not pass.
