RE: CITY TREASURER POSITION
At the June 22, 1999 Council Meeting, Councilmember ,Taylor requested that this item be placed
on the Agenda for discussion purposes`., Attached are copies of Section 2202 of the Rosemead
Municipal Code outlining the duties of the City Treasurer, Ordinance No. 762 relating to the
Investment Committee, Minutes of the May 25, 1999 Council Meeting appointing the City
Manager as the City Treasurer, Minutes of the October 3, 1995 Adjourned Meeting of the City
Council discussing the Investment Committee, and a list of those cities in Los Angeles County
that appoint a staff person to handle the duties of City Treasurer.
RECOMMENDATION
If there is a change in Council Policy, it is recommended that the Council direct staff to take the
appropriate action.
