The regular meeting of the Rosemead Youth committee was called to order by Chair
Roxanne Tuong in the Rosemead City Hall Council Chambers at 8838 E. Valley Blvd,
Rosemead, California.

OFFICIALS PRESENT: Chair Tuong, Vice-chair Chen, Committee Member Amezcua,
Committee Member Dao, Committee Member Loc, Committee Member Quezada,
Committee Member Hallinan.

A) Minutes
Committee Chair Tuong made a motion, seconded by Committee vice-chair
Chen to accept minutes. Vote resulted in:
Yes: Tuong, Dao, Hallinan, Loc, Quezada, Chen, and Amezcua
No: None
Abstain: None
Absent: None
3. MATTERS FROM STAFF
A) Upcoming Events
1) City Wide Yard Sale 3/21/10
2) Easter Eggstravaganza 4/3/10
3) Relay for Life Cancer Walk 5/22-5/23
B) Proposed Pool Projects Overview and Community Outreach
Matters were discussed in detail by:staff to the Youth Committee.
4. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION-COMMITTEE MEMBERS
A) Youth in Government-Current Issues Debate

Sub-committee presented a formal proposal and were asked by staff to revise
and present again at the next scheduled meeting.
B) Teen Event
Only Change made was the date. The sub-committee decided on May 14'h.
C) Teen Volunteer Program and City Scholarship
Committee was asked to do more research and bring back the results next
meeting.
D) Location of Next Meeting
Committee members all agreed to have the next regular meeting at Rosemead
Community Center located at 3936 N. Muscatel Avenue.
