LEGISLATIVE A.S RESOLUTION NO. 2004-50 - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2004-50, for payment of City ~ expenditures. ' ~ Y X B. ORDINANCE N0.838 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD AMENDING CHAPTER 9.08 OF THE ROSEMEAD MUNICIPAL CODE The Sheriffs Department has requested that the City Council adopt a new ordinance regarding public urination and defecation. The District Attorney's Office has approved the ordinance and will enforce it. Recommendation: Introduce Ordinance No. 838 on first reading. CCAGENDA: 11-23-04 Page 41 WONSENT CALENDAR-RECOMMENDATION: APPROVAL C-A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND COMMISSION FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF HELLMAN AVENUE BRIDGE OVER ALHAMBRA WASH This is an agreement between the City of Rosemead and the Rosemead Community Development Commission to jointly undertake the reconstruction of Hellman Avenue Bridge over the Alhambra Wash. The City will be the lead agency. Recommendation: Approve the Agreement. CC-B APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO SEEK BIDS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF HELLMAN AVENUE BRIDGE OVER ALHAMBRA WASH This project involves the removal and reconstruction of the Hellman Avenue Bridge over the Alhambra Wash, including removal and reconstruction of roadway pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk and retaining walls. Recommendation: Approve the plans and specifications and authorize the advertisement for bids by the City Clerk. REQUEST TO INSTALL RED CURB ON VALLEY BOULEVARD AT HIDDEN PINES PLACE At the request of the residents of Hidden Pines Place, the visibility for exiting vehicles onto Valley Boulevard was analyzed. The Traffic Commission subsequently recommended installation of 10 feet of red curb on the south side of Valley Boulevard and west of Hidden Pines Place. Recommendation: Approve the Traffic Commission's recommendation to install 10 feet of red curb on the south side of Valley Boulevard west of Hidden Pines Place. CC-D ACQUISITION OF ARCHITECT FOR THE GARVEY POOL AND ROSEMEAD POOL REHABILITATION PROJECTS The City has acquired two State Grants to be used to rehabilitate Rosemead and Garvey Pool Bathhouses. A proposal has been received from BOA Architecture to provide for the development of plans and specifications. Recommendation: Approve the Agreement with BOA Architecture and authorize staff to solicit bids once the Plans and Specifications have been prepared. CC-E AUTHORIZATION TO REJECT CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY FROM CHARN MAK The claim is for damage to the claimant's vehicle that occurred when a limb fell on his car.
