OF INTEREST TO CITIZENS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE
1) Those wishing to speak on any Agenda Item, including public hearing, should have their
Speaker Request Form submitted to the City Clerk no later than the time immediately
following Oral Communications.
2) Immediately after approval of the minutes and again at the end of the meeting, there is a
period of time set aside for those persons wishing to address the Council on matters not
listed on the Agenda entitled: ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE
(please complete the Speaker Request Form stating your preference to speak either at the
beginning or at the end of the meeting).
3) Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to
persons with disabilities, as required by Section 202 of the Americans with Disabilities
Act of 1990. Any person with a disability who requires a modification or
accommodation in order to participate in a meeting should direct such request to the City

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE
PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. ORDINANCE NO. 834 APPROVING ZONE CHANGE 03-217 AND
TENTATIVE TRACT MAP 60158 - 8470 MISSION DRIVE
This is a request to change the zoning map designation of four parcels from the R-
1; Single Family Residential zone to PD-Planned Development located at 8470
Mission Drive and subdivide four parcels into thirteen for the construction of
thirteen single-family homes.
Recommendation: Introduce Ordinance No. 834 approving Zone Change 03-
217, amending the Rosemead Zoning designation from R-1; "Single Family
Residential" to PD; "Planned Development", and adopt a Negative Declaration
finding that this project will not have any adverse effects on the environment.
II: , LEGISLATIVE
A. RESOLUTION NO. 2004-28 - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2004-28 - for payment of City
expenditures.
B. RESOLUTION NO. 2004-29 - CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2004-29 - for payment of City
expenditures.
IV. CONSENT CALENDAR- RECOMMENDATION: APPROVAL
CC-A AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND 24TH ANNUAL FALL SEMINAR,
CALIFORNIA CONTRACT CITIES ASSOCIATION, OCTOBER 1-3, 2004,
OXNARD
The main topic of this year's seminar will be water issues, such as supply and
demand, recycled water costs and water implementation.
Recommendation: Authorize the attendance of any Councilmember, City
Manager and staff designee.
