A. Approval of Minutes
CEQA: The following items are not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
Recommendation: The Parks Commission approves the regular meeting minutes of
August 4, 2026.
3. MATTERS FROM STAFF
CEQA: The following items are not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
A. Rose of Excellence Awards
Tom Boecking, Director of Parks and Recreation, will present two part-time employees
with the monthly Rose of Excellence Award.
Recommendation: That the Commission receive and file the report.
B. 2026 Summer Review
Tom Boecking, Director and Parks and Recreation, will give a presentation that will review
the 2026 summer programs, services, and special events provided by the City of
Rosemead.
Recommendation: That the Commission receive and file the report.
C. Farmers Market Discussion
Tom Boecking, Director of Parks and Recreation, will lead a discussion regarding the City
of Rosemead Farmers Market. Staff will provide an overview of the current market

operations, community participation, and opportunities for future enhancements. The
Parks Commission will have the opportunity to provide feedback and discuss ideas to
support the continued success of the Farmers Market.
Recommendation: That the Commission will provide feedback to staff.
D. Fall Events Preview
Tom Boecking, Director of Parks and Recreation, will present a 2026 Fall Events Preview
to the Parks Commission
Recommendation: That the Commission receive and file the report.
E. Monthly Parks & Recreation Department Review
Tom Boecking, Director of Parks and Recreation, will review a monthly report from the
Department.
Recommendation: That the Commission receive and file the report.

in the Council Chambers.
