Brown Act:
Pursuant to provisions of the Brown Act, no action may
be taken on a matter unless it is listed on the agenda,
or unless certain emergency or special circumstances
exist. The Beautification Commission may direct staff
to investigate and/or schedule certain matters for
consideration at a future Commission meeting.

CEQA: The following item is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act.
A. Discussion of Potential Civic Center Amenities and Prioritization
The purpose of this agenda item is to obtain feedback from the Beautification
Commission regarding the types of park, recreational, environmental, and educational
amenities that should be considered as part of a potential future Civic Center
development. The City Council has requested that the Beautification Commission
review and prioritize a list of desired amenities to help guide the planning and design
of the future project site. The Commission's recommendations will assist in identifying
features that best reflect the community's needs and long-term vision for the Civic
Center.
Recommendation: That the Beautification Commission review, provide input
regarding beautification, landscaping, public art, environmental enhancements, and
other aesthetic features that should be considered as part of a future Civic Center.
