RE: REQUEST FROM CALIFORNIA CHRISTIAN HOME TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE
THE 4700 BLOCK OF DELTA AVENUE
Attached is a letter from California Christian Home requesting
authorization to close the 4700 block of Delta Avenue, between
Mission Drive and Grand Avenue, on May 1, 1993. As in-years past,
the request is to close the street between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and
5:00 p.m. to allow the residents in that area to walk freely between
the California Christian Home and Sally Tanner Park during the annual
Spring Fiesta fundraising event.
It is not expected that residents in the area will be impacted since
Earle Street, which is one block east of Delta, will remain open.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the California
Christian Home to close the 4700 block of Delta Street on May 1, 1993
between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

This is a follow up to the conversation I had with Nancy earlier today
regarding our Spring Fiesta here at California Christian Home.
This is our 5th annual event. Proceeds from this go to help those residents
who have depleted their resources. Our SPRING FIESTA will be Saturday,
May 1, 1993 from 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. We plan on having numerous activities
at our facility and also using the park across the street. We are writing to ask for
the closure of Delta Street between 7 - 5 p.m. so we may use the park or street for
events going on that day.

will give you a call in about two weeks to check on the progress of this request.
