Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, California, The Pledge to the flag was led by Chairman Vasquez The Invocation was delivered by Commissioner Taylor ROLL CALL OF OFFICERS: Present: Commissioners Imperial, Taylor, and Chairman Vasquez Absent: Commissioners Alarcor and Clark, both excused APPROVAL OF MINUTES: DECEMBER 10, 2002 - REGULAR MEETING MOTION BY COMMISSIONER TAYLOR, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER IMPERIAL that the minutes of the regular meeting of December 10, 2002, be approved as submitted. Vote resulted: Aye: Vasquez, Imperial, Taylor No: None Absent: Alarcon, Clark The Chairman declared said motion duly carried and so ordered. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: APRIL 22, 2003 - REGULAR MEETING MOTION BY COMMISSIONER IMPERIAL, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER TAYLOR that the minutes of the regular meeting of April 22, 2003, be approved as submitted. CDC RESOLUTION NO. 2003-08 CLAIMS AND DEMANDS The following Resolution was presented to the Agency for adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2003-08 CLAIMS AND DEMANDS A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ALLOWING CERTAIN CLAIMS AND DEMANDS IN THE SUM OF $44,828.10 AND DEMANDS NO. 7013 THROUGH 7021 MOTION BY COMMISSIONER IMPERIAL, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER TAYLOR that the Commission adopt Resolution No. 2003-18. Vote resulted: Aye: Vasquez, Imperial, Clark No: None Absent: Alarcon, Clark Abstain: None The Chairman declared said motion duly carried and so ordered. 2. REJECTION OF BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PRE-SCHOOL RESTROOMS AT THE ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY CENTER Commissioner Taylor asked why the bids were higher than the Engineer's estimate? Michael Burbank, Director of Parks and Recreation, replied that it may be due to the short time span allotted for receiving bids. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER TAYLOR, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER IMPERIAL that the bids be rejected and that staff be authorized to re-bid this project.
