RE: APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO
SEEK BIDS FOR THE ASPHALT CONCRETE OVERLAY ON VARIOUS
STREETS - FISCAL YEAR 2000-01
Attached, for the Agency consideration for approval and authorization to advertise for bids,
are the plans and specifications for the FY 2000-01 asphalt concrete overlay project. The
project includes an asphalt-rubber overlay, and signing and striping on various streets
listed in Exhibit "A".
The project's construction costs are funded by Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funds.
The proposed schedule for construction is as follows:
Receive Bids
December 28, 2000
Award contract
January 23, 2001
Begin Work
February 20, 2001
Complete Work
March 30, 2001
The specifications have been reviewed and are acceptable to the City Engineer. The
Engineer's estimate for construction is $300,000.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency approve the plans and
specifications and authorize advertisement for bids by the Agency Secretary.
