The Rosemead Redevelopment Agency is currently processing a
Redevelopment Plan for Project No. 2. In accordance with California
Community. Law, "a Preliminary. Report "must" be prepared for the "
adoption" of a Redevelopment Plan.. The: purpose of the Preliminary.
Report is to provide affected taxing agencies with specific information
about" the proposed Plan: A Preliminary Report has been prepared and
is attached as Exhibit "A'.
The Preliminary Report contains the reasons, for selection of the
Project Area,' a description of the physical and economic conditions "
existing in the Project Area, a description of specific project or projects
to be pursued by, the Agency in the Project Area, and a preliminary
assessment-of the proposed method of financing the project, including
an assessment of economic feasibility and the reasons for including tax .
increment financing in the proposed redevelopment plan..
The Preliminary Report. has been prepared and includes the
information ."required by State " law. The California Community. .
Redevelopment Law requires that this Report must be transmitted to, "
each affected taxing agency. "

RECOMMENDATION
It is staffs recommendation that the Redevelopment Agency adopt the
attached Resolution authorizing transmittal of the Preliminary Report
for Project No. 2. lD

A RESOLUTION OF THE ROSEMEAD REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY AUTHORIZING TRANSMITTAL OF THE
PRELIMINARY REPORT FOR ROSEMEAD
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA NO. 2
WHEREAS, the Rosemad Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") has initiated
the formation of Project Area No. 2; and
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law requires the
preparation of a Preliminary Report as part of the redevelopment plan adoption process;
and
WHEREAS, the Agency has prepared a Preliminary Report (the "Report"); and
WHEREAS, the Report was prepared pursuant to the requirements of the
Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, the Preliminary Report shall be transmitted to each affected taxing
entity in accordance with Section 33344.5 of the Community Redevelopment Law.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Rosemead
Redevelopment Agency as follows:
1: The proposed Preliminary Report for Rosemead Redevelopment Project Area
No. 2, copies of which have been presented to this body as of the date of this
Resolution, are hereby approved for transmittal to the various affected taxing
agencies, as required by law.
2: The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized and directed to
make such transmittals.
