CITY MANAGERS DEPARTMENT MEETING, FEBRUARY 24, 2000,
PALM SPRINGS
The League of California Cities annual City Managers Department Meeting is being held in
Palm Springs. The Conference will include the following sessions: Strategies for Building
Community Trust; The Changing Diversity of our Cities; The Present and Future of the League
and ABC; How City Managers can Control the Technology Invasion; The Cutting Edge:
Innovations in Local Government; E- Commerce: Where is it Going? What do we Do ?; and a
Redevelopment Update Briefing.
The City Council has authorized attendance in the past.

It is recommended that the City Council authorize the attendance of the City Manager at the
Annual League of California Cities City Managers Department Meeting on February 24, 2000
in Palm Springs.
