A. RESOLUTION NO. 2000-38 -CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2000-38, for payment of City expenditures.

THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD SUPPORTING U.S. SENATE BILL S. 2700,
BROWNFIELDS REVITALIZATION AND ENVIRONMENT RESTORATION
ACT
This bipartisan bill promotes the clean-up and reuse of brownfields, including financial
assistance.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2000-39

RESOLUTION NO. 2000-40 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD, CA, AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF THE PARS SUPPLEMENTAL RETIREMENT PLAN TO BE
ADMINISTERED BY PHASE II SYSTEMS, PARS TRUST
ADMINISTRATOR
At the June 6, 2000 Budget Study Session, the Council adopted Resolution No. 00-28
approving a supplemental retirement benefit and authorizing staff to contract for the
benefit and administration. In order for an employee to qualify for this benefit, they
would be required to be an employee of the City at the time of retirement and have a
minimum of 20 years of service with the City of Rosemead.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2000-04 which adopts by reference the Trust
Administrative Agreement, the Trust Document, and the Retirement Plan, and
appropriate the necessary funds from unappropriated reserves.
+D. RESOLUTION NO. 2000-41 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ROSEMEAD ESTABLISHING A MONTHLY AUTO
EXPENSE ALLOWANCE FOR COUNCILMEMBERS
The City Council authorized a monthly auto expense allowance for Councilmembers at
the June 6, 2000 Budget Session. This resolution is necessary in order to implement the
allowance.
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2000-41.
IV. C NSENT CALENDAR -RECOMMENDATION: APPROVAL
CC-A RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY COUNCIL
0 OF GOVERNMENTS
Request from San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments that the City renew it's
membership.
Recommendation: Authorize the renewal of membership in the San Gabriel Valley
Council of Governments.
CC-B SHOPPING CART RETRIEVAL PILOT PROGRAM
The City has established a pilot program to assess the benefits of contracting for shopping
cart retrieval and abatement services.
Recommendation: Continue pilot shopping cart retrieval program on a month-to-month
basis.
