PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PROPOSED REALLOCATION OF FY
2000 HOME FUNDS AND FY 2000 AND 2001 COMMUNITY HOUSING
DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (CHDO) SET-ASIDE
The City is a Participating Jurisdiction for HOME funds. A portion of the City's
HOME funds are subject to recapture by HUD, however, funds may be
reprogrammed to benefit another jurisdiction.
Recommendation: Approve a reallocation in the amount of $262,800 in
entitlement funds and $159,300 in unallocated HOME funds to create a
partnership with a neighboring community; open a 30-day comment period for
public comments related to the proposed relocation; and bring back to the City
Council for approval a proposed partnership agreement with a neighboring
jurisdiction.

Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 2002-23, for payment of City
expenditures.

CC-A RECEIPT AND AWARD OF BIDS FOR THE ROSEMEAD RESIDENTIAL
REHABILITATION PROGRAM, DEFERRED LOAN - 4458 BARTLETT

-I ./D Review and approval of Deferred Loan under the City's Residential
Rehabilitation Program.
Recommendation: Accept and award contract to Nick's Remodeling, owner
selected bidder for this loan program, in an amount not to exceed $25,990, and
authorize staff to initiate contract with owners and contractor.
____CC-B APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE GARVEY AVENUE BRIDGE OVER THE
RIO HONDO CHANNEL
This proposal provides for engineering design and construction management
services for the reconstruction of the Garvey Avenue Bridge over the Rio Hondo
Channel.
Recommendation: Approve the engineering proposal and direct staff to begin the
preparation of the necessary plans and specifications.
ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR 2002 SLURRY
SEAL PROJECT ON VARIOUS CITY STREETS
On May 15, 2002, bids were received for the subject project, which provides for a
slurry seal coat on various streets throughout the City to maintain the pavement
surface.
Recommendation: Accept all bids and award the project to California
Pavement Maintenance Co., Inc., in the amount of $79,608.25; waive the
irregularity in the bid by Roy Allen Slurry Seal; and authorize the Mayor to sign
/ f the contract on behalf of the City.
CC-D APPROVAL OF FIREWORKS STAND LOCATIONS
/ All deposits have been received and certificates of insurance are on file for the
fourteen applicants.
Recommendation: Approve the list of stands and locations and waive electrical
permit fees.
