TRIPEPI, CITY MANAGER DATE: MAY 4, 2000 RE: AUTHORIZATION TO ATTEND THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL EXECUTIVE FORUM, JULY 26-28,2000, MONTEREY The League's annual Executive Forum is scheduled for Wednesday, July 26` through Friday, July 28 Members of the Council and staff attend this conference every year and it is of benefit to the City. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council authorize the attendance of any Councilmember, City Attorney, City Manager and staff as assigned by the City Manager. Councilman - Taylor stafed that Fie cannot vote in favor of this item as the current rate of - 2% at, 55 retirement plan would average out to 60% of base earnings after 25 -30 years of employment which is a reasonable amount.
