Mr. Richard Fierro, Director of Community Affairs for Consolidated Disposal Service, will be _present at the -June- I- meeting to address the City this requested modification to the city's refuse franchise agreement. This survey covers the first quarter of 2000 and the month of May. You will note that the majority of residential traffic using our office is during the months of February and May. This is due to our billing cycle when invoices are mailed out every three months; January, April, July and September. Proposed New Service Days - - - - - -- We therefore, as stated in our December 22, 1999 letter, respectfully request to reduce the operating hours of our office in the City of Rosemead to the following: • Thirty (30) days after receiving approval by the City Council, the office will be open —. -_- __every Tuesday- and - Thursday from 10:00 a..m -to 5:00 p.m _The. office will_be closed_ __`_ Monday, Wednesday and Friday. • The two (2) weeks after residential billing has been mailed to customers, the office - will be open Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - - - - - • All walk -in customers can deliver payments directly to a drop box that will be located on the door entering our office during the days the office is closed. • Ther will be no interruption_s_gf posting of customer payments. • Custorners may continue to reach customer service by calling 626 - 288 -4919 or 1- 888- 339 -3723. Our automated attendant will answer telephone calls received after 5:00 P.m Mr. Tripepi, we hope this proposal will meet with Councils approval. We are open to any suggestions you or the Council may have on the above request. South Rl Monte and others have used this office to ma paymen a set - up or cancel service. nor ofiicc has also been available, oil occasion, for city stafl'to help with customers Survev of Current Office Use We have monitored the current activity of our office from July 1999 to September 1999. The survey gave us abetter understanding of the level of service necessary to meet the needs of the residents of Rosemead and the stalling requirement of the office. The survey -. also shows that an average of 6 transactions were recorded during the month.__ -_ These transactions were a result of mail or walk -in customers. Also, an average of 114 telephone call per month were received by t he office for v se rvic e related is sues. contrast, in our main office our customers service representatives handle anywhere from _ -- - -RO_to 150-call daily.- Proposed New Service Days We therefor respectfully request to reduce the operating hours of our office in the City of Rosemead to the following: ■ .
