RESOLUTION NO. 2001-17 - A RESOLUTION OF THE ROSEMEAD
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS AND

DETERMINATIONS WITH RESPECT TO REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY PAYMENT FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF HELLMAN
AVENUE BRIDGE OVER ALHAMBRA WASH
By adopting this resolution, the Agency finds that Agency payment for the
project benefits Project Area No. 1, there are no other reasonable means of
financing, and that the project will eliminate blighting conditions by
providing a bridge structure that meets current seismic and safety codes
and will provide improved vehicular access along roadways within and
adjacent to Project Area No. 1, thus enhancing the value of abutting
properties.

3 APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE HELLMAN
AVENUE BRIDGE OVER ALHAMBRA WASH
The proposal provides for engineering design and construction
management services for the reconstruction of the Hellman Avenue
Bridge over Alhambra Wash.

This is an agreement between the City and Agency to jointly undertake the
construction of traffic signals at Hell i nan/Jackson Avenues and at the
entrance to the Garvey Community Center, along with appurtenant street
improvements and school signage. The City will be the lead agency.
AUTHORIZATION TO FILE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE
ROSEMEAD POOL RE-PIPING PROJECT
The contractor has completed the re-piping project.
Recommendation: Accept the project and authorize staff to file the
Notice of Completion.
APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE IN
ADMINISTERING THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FUNDED
COMMERCIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM
The 2001-02 Agency Budget includes funds for economic development
and commercial rehabilitation. On February 13, 2001, the Agency
approved guidelines for a program similar to that funded by Community
Development Block Grant funds. Since Willdan Associates administers
that program, we are recommending that they also handle the
Redevelopment Agency's Commercial Rehabilitation Progrgam.
Recommendation: Authorize staff to contract with Willdan Associates
for the administration of the Rosemead Redevelopment Agency
Commercial Rehabilitation Program.
