SUBJECT: CONFIRMATION OF BOARD MEMBERS
SUMMARY
California Health and Safety Code section 34179 requires the Oversight Board to
confirm all Board Members and to transmit a list of the Board Members to the
Department of Finance. Additionally, with the approval of the State's Budget Trailer Bill
AB 1484, all Oversight Board actions are required to confirmed by Resolution.
Staff Recommendation:
That the Oversight Board approve Resolution 2012 -0006 confirming the seven (7)
members of the Oversight Board.

This item has been noticed through the regular agenda notification process in
accordance with the Brown Act.

RESOLUTION: 2012 -0006
A RESOLUTION OF THE OVERSIGHT BOARD FOR THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE
ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION CONFIRMING THE LIST OF
INDIVIDUALS SERVING AS OVERSIGHT BOARD MEMBERS FOR DEPARTMENT OF
FINANCE CONTACT PURPORSES AS REQURIED BY HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE
SECTION 34179
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code section 34179 requires that each Successor
Agency have an Oversight Board; and
WHEREAS, Section 34179 also requires that an Oversight Board transmit the names of its
Chairperson and members to the Department of Finance. The names of the Oversight Board are:
Jeff Allred, Representative of City of Rosemead
Martin Jones, Representative of City of Rosemead Employees
Raul Alvarez, Representative of the County of Los Angeles
Patricia Wallach, Representative of the County of Los Angeles Fire Protection District
Irene Redondo - Churchward, Public Appointee Representative of the County of Los Angeles
Nicole Lash, Representative of the County of Los Angeles Superintendent of Schools
Bob Miller, Representative of the Pasadena Area Community College District
NOW THEREFORE, THE OVERSIGHT BOARD FOR THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO
ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION HEREBY RESOLVES:
The Chairperson of the Oversight Board shall be Patricia Wallach. The Vice - Chairperson
shall be Raul Alvarez.
2. The Successor Agency staff is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the
State Department of Finance.
3. The Assistant City Manager for the City of Rosemead shall be the official that the
Department of Finance can contact concerning Oversight Board actions. The Successor
Agency staff is directed to provide the address, email and phone contact information for the
Assistant City Manager.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July 2012.
