SUBJECT: CONFIRMATION OF BOARD MEMBERS AND SELECTION OF A VICE-
CHAIRPERSON
SUMMARY
The Board's former Vice - Chairperson, Raul Alvarez, is no longer the appointee to the
Rosemead Oversight Board by County Supervisor Molina and has been replaced by
Dalila Sotelo. Therefore, the Oversight Board needs to adopt a resolution to confirm the
names of all Board members and select a new Vice - Chairperson.
Staff Recommendation:
That the Oversight Board approve Resolution 2013 -0002 confirming the Board Members,
designating a Vice - Chairperson, and direct staff to transmit the information to the
Department of Finance.

RESOLUTION: 2013 -0002
A RESOLUTION OF THE OVERSIGHT BOARD FOR THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE
ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION CONFIRMING THE LIST OF
INDIVIDUALS SERVING AS OVERSIGHT BOARD MEMBERS AND DESIGNATING A VICE -
CHAIRPERSON AS REQUIRED BY HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTION 34179
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code section 34179 requires that each Successor
Agency have an Oversight Board; and
WHEREAS, Section 34179 also requires that an Oversight Board transmit the names of its
Chairperson and members to the Department of Finance. The names of the Oversight Board are:
Jeff Allred, Representative of City of Rosemead
Martin Jones, Representative of City of Rosemead Employees
Dalila Sotelo, Representative of the County of Los Angeles
Patricia Wallach, Representative of the County of Los Angeles Fire Protection District
Irene Redondo - Churchward, Public Appointee Representative of the County of Los Angeles
Nicole Lash, Representative of the County of Los Angeles Superintendent of Schools
Bob Miller, Representative of the Pasadena Area Community College District
WHEREAS, Section 34179 further requires that the members of the Oversight Board elect one
of their members as the chairperson. In the event that the Chairperson is not available to attend a
meeting or perform an obligation required of the Chairperson, it is prudent to also elect a Vice -
Chairperson who is authorized to act in the absence of the Chairperson; and
NOW THEREFORE, THE OVERSIGHT BOARD FOR THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO
ROSEMEAD COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION HEREBY RESOLVES:
