8910 GLENDON WAY (SWC IVAR AVENUE AND GLENDON WAY)
SUMMARY
The applicant has submitted a Pre-Application and is proposing to construct a new five-
story Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel, totaling a development floor area of 71,250 square feet.
The hotel will consist of 123 guest rooms and include amenities such as a lobby,
conference room, business center, meeting rooms, breakfast area, indoor pool and gym,
and a laundry facility. The subject site is located at 8910 Glendon Way, in the C-3D
(Medium Commercial with a Design Overlay) and P-D (Planned Development) zones.

On November 30, 3015, a Development Review Committee (DRC) meeting was
conducted with the applicant and City staff. During this meeting, the Planning and
Engineering Divisions commented on the proposed project. The applicant is currently
revising the plans to submit for entitlements. Today, they would like to present their
proposed project to the City Council to receive input on concerns that the City Council may
have and to provide the City Council with detailed information on potential upcoming
issues that may be brought before the City Council in the future.
