Also, I wanted to make sure that Julien sent you the crime stats. Let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks, Chris Community Outreach done by the proposed 7-Eleven Valley/Temple City Blvd. Since hosting an open community meeting in September to meet neighborhood residents and provide information about the potential new store, 7-Eleven has logged over 200 hundred hours of door-to-door outreach within the local community. The majority of the outreach has been done within a 1-mile radius of the store, knocking on doors of homes, apartment buildings and businesses. 7-Eleven has collected over 400 petition signatures from local residents supporting 7-Eleven's proposed operation on Valley and Temple City Blvd, including its beer and wine request. Additionally, 6 local businesses surrounding the store signed full support letters, as well. During its outreach, 7-Eleven was able to meet over 700 community members and discuss many questions and concerns they had about the proposed site, which included the impact of selling alcohol, the proximity of other 7-Elevens, what the new store would look like (showed architect's rendering of proposed development),hours of operation, the types of healthy and fresh foods offered at the store, 7-Eleven safety protocol related to theft and loitering, the building's security system, local jobs offered and ways to apply for them, and how this 7- Eleven would work to make a positive impact in the community. 1 , 7-Eleven also became a dues-paying member of the Rosemead Chambers of Commerce and presented at one of their Fall Board meetings. • 2 a MAYOR: _ 5 Ey F 9 city of MARGARET CLARK f • . ._. . ._... ...
